The Owners’ Circle Congress 2024, held from 19th to 22nd September in the picturesque Le Marche region of Italy, was a resounding success. Organised by European Historic Houses in collaboration with Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI), this prestigious event focused on the theme “Heritage as a Driver for Regional Revitalisation.”
The second edition counted with some attractive highlights!
- For those who selected the extended weekend option and arrived on the 19th September:
The congress kicked off with an optional day for early arrivers to explore Villa Sgariglia in Grottammare. Participants enjoyed guided tours of the villa’s historical architecture and gardens, followed by a delightful seafood dinner at Ristorante Tropical by the sea. - Main Programme (20th – 22nd September):
- 20th September: Attendees embarked on guided tours of Ascoli Piceno’s cultural landmarks, such as the Cathedral, Piazza del Popolo, and the Ventidio Basso Theatre. The day concluded with a visit to the restored Castel di Luco and an evening of drinks and dinner.
- 21st September: The focal point was the conference held at Auditorium Emidio Neroni, where distinguished speakers from the regional and international spheres shared insights on heritage preservation’s social impact. You can rewatch the conference here!. Attendees also visited the ongoing restoration site at Palazzo Saladini di Rovetino and enjoyed an impressive gala dinner at the Civic Picture Gallery.
- 22nd September: The final day featured a visit to Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi, showcasing restoration efforts supported by PNRR Government EU funds. Participants engaged in guided tours and a light lunch buffet, concluding the congress on a reflective note.
